Hong Kong Int. Airport Handled 81,000 Passengers in November

(14 Dec 2020)
Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) handled 81,000
passengers and 12,565 flight movements in November 2020,
year-on-year decreases of 98.4% and 61.4%, respectively.

Cargo
throughput was 436,000 tonnes, a year-on-year drop of
3%, whilst freighter movements saw year-on-year growth of 12.7%
to 6,270 from 5,564.

During the month, passenger traffic – residents,
visitors and transfer/transit passengers – decreased significantly
compared to the same month last year.

On the cargo front, imports
and exports grew 12% and 5% year-on-year, respectively, amid the
traditional cargo peak in November. Transshipments experienced a
significant decrease due to shortage of belly capacity on
passenger flights. Overall, cargo throughput to and from Mainland
China and Southeast Asia experienced the most significant
decreases during the month.

Over the first eleven months of
the year, HKIA handled 8.7 million passengers and 148,015 flight
movements, representing 86.7% and 61.6% declines, respectively.
Cargo throughput saw a 7.7% drop to 4 million tonnes.

On
a 12-month rolling basis, passenger throughput and flight
movements recorded 80.0% and 57.0% year-on-year declines to 14.5
million and 182,015, respectively. Cargo throughput fell 7.1% to
4.5 million tonnes.

Avada Destinations is an unique travel platform, providing luxurious holidays at unbeatable costs. But now we discover ourselves at a second when practically all the promises of the airline deregulators have clearly proved false. In the event you’re a member of the inventive class who rarely does business within the nation’s industrial heartland or visits kinfolk there, you won’t notice the magnitude of financial disruption being attributable to misplaced airline service and skyrocketing fares. However if you’re in the business of constructing and trading stuff beyond derivatives and concepts, you probably need to go to places like Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Memphis, […]
